Valentina Rose Jessep was found dead after emergency services were called to a high-rise residence at Mermaid Beach about 8am on Tuesday.
Investigating officers declared a crime scene at the property but have not yet determined the cause of death.
A family friend said Valentina was a dearly loved daughter and granddaughter who would be greatly missed.
“She was loved by many and touched everyone’s hearts with her infectious smile, bright and bubbly personality, and was such a happy little girl,” the friend said.
“She will be dearly missed. We ask you please, keep her family in your prayers and any help will go a long way.”
A GoFundMe page set up to cover the funeral costs had raised $1500 by Wednesday afternoon.
The page says Valentina’s family and friends were absolutely devastated by her death, and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service.
“We are still awaiting an autopsy report to find out exactly what caused this sudden passing,” the post reads.
